Amy's mission is to bring the magic of Yoga to as many individuals as she has the fortune of meeting. She strives to guide people on their path of gaining the ability to love and respect their uniqueness while remaining present in their journeys. Since coming to Yoga her life has been enhanced and she would like to share that experience with whoever is open to bringing this practice into their lives. Amy includes Yoga Philosophy, breathwork, and mindfulness with a little humor added in. Her goal is that you meet and love yourself as you are.
Amy fell in love with Yoga and learned about this world through her passion for dance. She has performed, choreographed, and taught with various companies in New England for over twenty years. In 2013, Amy started teaching Yoga at Yale University and fell head over heels in love with the practice. She then started a home-based Yoga studio and thus Soulshine Yoga Center was born.
Amy has since taught at various places like Quinnipiac University, Beacon, and Cozy Beach in East Haven, CT. Her passion is on bringing out each student's unique abilities to have them rejoice in both their challenges and triumphs. Amy guides them as they explore who, how, why, and where they are in each moment on and off their mat. Every person has their own unique potential and Amy aspires to guide each student on their journey with non-judgmental compassionate eyes.
